Depraved
Directed by Larry Fessenden
Suffering from PTSD following his stint as an army medic, Henry now works feverishly in his Brooklyn laboratory to forget the death he witnessed overseas by creating life in the form of a man cobbled together from body parts. After procuring a brain from an unwitting victim, his creation--Adam--is born. But it soon seems that giving life to Adam was the easy part; teaching him how to live in a dark and troubled world may be perilous.
The legend of Frankenstein gets a dark new reimagining from indie horror master Larry Fessenden.
Cast: Alex Breaux, David Call, Maria Dizzia, Addison Timlin, Joshua Leonard

somehow missed this one ah its brilliant
Feels right at home in the Fessenden filmography. Not my favorite Frankenstein but an interesting setting (modern NYC) and reimagining
Genuinely a beautiful and touching story, well told, well executed, and heart-wrenching. Just when you think the story's been overdone, someone pulls a gem out of nowhere and gets it right. I loved that it was mostly from the perspective of the creature and not focusing on the doctor. While it's a modern adaptation with some slight changes, it's pretty faithful to the original story.
Very interesting take on the monster/ creator concept. The end felt lackluster, as it devolved to another type of movie. Overall a good watch though. Good 3
hauntingly beautiful very sad though
