Great movie!! Overall it is very sad because it is about a dog that goes rabid. It’s very realistic as well and Dee Wallace gives a great performance. The only negative for me was the constant screaming from Tad(Danny Pintauro}. I know he is a little kid and he was afraid but seriously kid pipe down some mom can think, your cry/scream/mumble talking about wanting to go home is not helping. Lol. Good flick with a plausible scenario.

This terrifying tale is relentless and continues to hold up after 20 plus yrs. Great film that feels like 2 stories, one of a family coming apart at the seams and what will save it and the rabid dog horror, great stuff.

Maybe it's just because I didn't grow up with it, but I thought it was too slow. For a campy/fun Stephen King movie, Pet Sematary is so much better.
