City of the Living Dead
Directed by Lucio Fulci
A reporter and a psychic try to close the gates of hell before zombies invade Earth in the first of Italian gore maestro Lucio Fulci's "Gates of Hell" trilogy. After a priest guarding the gates dies, Mary and Peter learn that his death created the opportunity for the dead to rise in only a few days. Soon enough, gruesome things start happening - including the film's most famous sequence where a female victim literally pukes her guts out. If George Romero's living dead films are too tame for you, Fulci's films should satisfy all your creepy cravings. Contains violence and gore.

Fulci was the man
The absolute GOAT! Saw Fabio Frizzi play the score live. This movie is my EVERYTHING! My #1 of all time, hands down.
My favorite Fulci. Otherworldly and unique. Top shelf, legendary, horror.
this movie made the evil spirit in my grandma's house get active!! way back in the good old days of Blockbuster video and mom and pop vhs stores. i was initiated in the zombie genre by italian horror(Demons) so this was a no brainer and the intestine vomit scene is historical. . . name a scene in any horror film as of lately or back then that tops that one scene.
so stupid I couldn't look away. The best acting in this is hands down the worms. the rats being runners up. 10 out of 10
