It moved pretty slowly at times, and sometimes the tinkly jazz score took me right out of it. But it really captured the ennui and cynicism of the 70s. Also, Naschy is a compelling antihero, the girls all exude tragic, brokem humanity, and while my extensive experience with gialli actually did have me convinced that I had the whole inevitably twist figured out, even I was only half-right; I wasn't prepared for the knife-twisting second half of the twist ending. Maybe 3.5 out of 5.
Paul Naschy is a hunk of burning love.
What an awful movie, half baked and the cruelty to animals was disgusting. Shudder, you really should take this down.
Wish I could give it less than one skull. On top of being unwatchably bad, the murder and torture of the poor pig was grotesque & had absolutely no place in this “film”. Don’t waste your time - an absolute trash heap.
Gilles looks like John Belushi and he’s a sex addict. Decent whodunnit. The redhead is fine.
