Blood Relatives

Directed by Noah Segan

Francis, a 115-year-old Yiddish vampire, still looks 35. He’s been roaming American backroads in his beat-up muscle car for decades, keeping to himself, and liking it that way. One day, Jane, a teenager, shows up. She says she’s his daughter, and she’s got the fangs to prove it. They go on the road, deciding whether to sink their teeth into family life. A SHUDDER ORIGINAL

A vampire finds out he has a teenage daughter. They go on the road, deciding whether to sink their teeth into family life.

Cast: Noah Segan, Victoria Moroles

Cute, I mean far from the worst vampire film I've seen it's actually cute but it ends rather blah. It's a feel good buddy movie.

The concept was great, the execution was a little clumsy. If you (like me) read the plot synopsis and thought "this sounds like exactly my kind of movie," you will probably have a good time (and are probably more likely to forgive it for little things like the Yiddish not being perfect or the pacing being a little slow).

this film was super fun and easy to watch. don't go into it expecting anything overly gory or high-budget but it was a solid horror comedy with a really sweet story at its centre. nice tone shift/tastebreaker if you're after a vampire film sans all the usual drama and high octane stuff. the word "cosy" kind of comes to mind. would definitely re-watch in the future.

For as many good reviews, there are about this movie, it is surprisingly horrible. The actors are unlikable and hard to watch. There’s really nothing to keep you interested as it goes on. Don’t waste your time.
