Beaten to Death

Brutal and just makes you realise you never know who you'll run into in the Australian bush. As an Aussie I was surprised to see it was a Tassie production. I really liked the movie!

Fine film for what it is, but as other posters have stated, it's really just repetitive torture porn. Worth a watch to kill 90 minutes, but don't expect anything to happen other than what the title says.

A movie with no thesis. No reason to care about the characters. Music cues implied emotion that was completely unearned. And for the tag of torture porn, it’s pretty devoid of violence or gore (other than seeing the protagonist’s bloody face a lot). With different pacing it could have been a decent episode of Tales From The Crypt - at full runtime it offers nothing for someone looking g for a plot and not enough gore for gore hounds.

I can honestly say i didnt think i would see a movie that would affect me the way this did.

A torture porn movie with not much substance. Guy gets tortured, guy screams and moans, guy wanders through Australian outback, repeat.
