I never knew this movie existed! It was pretty enjoyable for for the overall movie concept and time frame. I was also pretty excited to have another " holiday" checked off for horror movies.

From Frank Mancuso the Man behind "Friday The 13th" parts 2 TO 7 comes another Calender horror, April Fools Day. The plot as with all good 80's slasher films is minimal. Take a group of teenagers to a secluded island and have them killed off by an unknown assailant. Strange that the man behind many of the Friday The 13th sequel's would make this movie where the killings are relatively blood and gore free and are more Hammer Horror than Jason Voorhees. The characters are likeable enough and the movie happily chugs along keeping you quietly entertained (although a bit of blood and gore in the kills would have helped). The end of a slasher film is always the money maker when the killer is revealed and then dispatched, and with its plot twist that you could see coming from the start of the movie April Fools Day sadly ends on a real dissapointing note.

Decent acting, good ideas, best names for the characters, it's cool to watch on actual april fool. Not a waste of time.
