super interesting concept! I really liked it for the most part but the ending was lacking something. Needed to do more showing and less telling I think. Definitely worth a watch though!

So many things to like about this movie! Such an original story. The music is so ominous and beautiful. My favorite part is the very present sense of presence; which feels word soup until you watch it for yourself. You'll never have seen anything like it, assuredly.

It didn’t like it - it was feeling like a Sunday afternoon TV movie on the BBC. Yeah - not for me.

Such an amazing and original story. Very haunting. This movie inspired me to learn Irish on Duolingo. I'm not kidding.

Great folk horror that makes use of the Old Irish language for magical purposes. I wish that more English horror films made use of Old English (the English spoken between the 5th and 11th centuries) for incantations, charms and spells (many examples of which are documented in Old English literature), instead of the predictable and unimaginative use of Latin. The English actually converted to Christianity in the 7th century, two hundred years after the Irish, so it would make sense for English folk horror to make use of the Old English language in a similar way to what has been done with Old Irish in this film.
