The film started what felt like a quarter way through, missing out details, or hints towards each charactors part in the bigger picture. It had great promise, as the story it hinted towards felts fresh and exciting. Sadly it wasn't any of those, it felt like lazy film making, which I'm sure it wasn't, it was just way off the mark.
Wow. Moral: Don f*ck around with pagan sh1t.
If folk horror is your bag you will LOVE this film!!!!!!
I enjoyed this film and glad it is on Shudder. I found some of the acting a bit of a let down, but maybe due to young cast. But the idea ancestral curses or epigenetics' passed through ancient song is tantalising. We are a product of our ancestors after all. Another thought provoking tale from the Emerald Isle.
super interesting concept! I really liked it for the most part but the ending was lacking something. Needed to do more showing and less telling I think. Definitely worth a watch though!
