Crazy ride! Never knew where it was heading next. In a good way!
Cheezy, unrealistic and hokey. There was a few hopeful moments but I just don’t get the good reviews. Doesn’t help that several spots of dialogue had no subtitles.
I was very disappointed. Good acting from Couchard who was also in Calvaire, but there really isn't much in the way of horror going on here, and the ending was a huge letdown. Really more of a dark drama. They tried to do some kind of subplot twist thing with the little girl, too, then just let that trail off into nothing and left it hanging unanswered. A lot of lines were left untranslated in the subtitles, but that wouldn't have saved the movie anyway. I want that 2 hours of my life back. Doesn't belong here in Shudder in my opinion, and even as a drama I wouldn't recommend. A real drag.
Slow burn and tackles very dark, real themes with some supernatural undertones. Not completely for me but is for some.
Slow burn for sure but towards the end you get interested enough to watch it through. Overall enjoyable
