pleasantly strange
That movie is a lot. But also real real good. Sapphic erotic weird western journey into the heart of darkness. And also a lady kills a tree monster and has a sexy bath in the stump with another lady. It's everything you could want. Not going to lie, I was pretty lost by the end but as a throwback to 70s trippy sci-fi weirdness, it was an experience worth having.
This is a wild trip, a little hard to follow and I didn’t fully understand the end but wow what an artistic film! I really loved the sets and the cinematography
Trippy and nightmarish. Good for a late night watch. Lo fi effects remind me of some of my 80s favourites (Dark Crystal and Labyrinth), but with some weird erotic moments and grotesque violence. Fun stuff.
Dreamy, erotic, nightmarish, colorful - experimenting with and eating the truly alien, a difficult acid experience - light years apart from the mundane, the impotence of the society we know, and yet reflecting its destructive nature. Disturbing, haunted, horrible, fantastic.
