We see the return of M. R. James' Dr. Black, from "The Stalls of Barchester", as a secondary character to Mr. Paxton who is a recently unemployed clerk during the Depression who is looking for a fabled crow that is said to protect the area and the burial sites is watched over by a family for generations. Of course there is a ghost in this one. Faithful to the intent but not to the letter of the story, the film still brings the chills and horrors intended by James. Another good adaption.
Love it
