great movie
Classic film. 3½ skulls.
Fantastic early horror, and excellent satire of the pretentious art/beat scene at the time. I laughed very hard. 5 skills!
Pretty great! I enjoyed the portrayal of a seemingly autistic guy being suckered in by the pretentious art world around him. The owner of the art café he works at knowing about his "technique" and desperately trying to reign him in while looking sick constantly was a great bit of drama. The two stoners, constantly failing to understand anything, was good for laughs. And I appreciate the movie didn't blame the love interest for not being into Walter.
I am surprised how well this movie stands the test of time. While hilarious at times with its dialogue, score and kooky characters, it also tells a wonderful story that's worth watching. At only about an hour for a fun time, what's there to lose? It definitely has left me with numerous quotes to throw about with friends and a better appreciation of early horror.
